Visit the telematics.net link in the software development forum. The Gui class is written in VB.net but.. you can get a good idea from the code..
Hi lads, I'm (relatively) new to the site. I've been taking a while to browse around and look at some of the FAQs and information threads.
I'm looking at develping a front end application for a carputer with all the usuals, MP3, DVD, GPS etc.
I'd just like to ask some of the old hands here if you've got any words of wisdom for getting started. I'm developing it using C++ and am probably going to go with integrating WinAmp for audio/MP3. In particular i'm just wondering how you got started with the coding itself, if there's any useful tutorials for applications like this available on the web.
Once I get this off the ground i'll be alright, any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Software: Still, re-Writing my existing front end in .Net
Hey Daly, I have the same idea as you. I started by getting myself a good vb.net book to get startedI'm currently reading chapter 8 of 24 ! There's still a lot of things I need to learn and I'll never give up. However I did a degree in Bachelor of Multimedia and perfectly understand what User Interaction means.
How would you rate your programming skills so far?
keep us updated and good luck.
