no bandwidth limit, thats great
There have been several threads from people who need web hosting for their skins, bios files, software etc.
I have a dedicated server in Florida that is not being used much and I am creating a new web site to show off all of the various hardware and software solutions that are available. In the meantime, if anyone wants to host their files (carPC files ONLY!! LOL) then I'd be only too happy to set you up with your own file storage area and your own username and password.
Just PM me, tell me what type of files you want to host and I'll send you your own unique username and password.
The server has a dedicated link to the Internet and no bandwidth restrictions.

Sounds like a perfect place to mirror the Frodoplayer files.
EPoX mATX SocketA w/onboard Geforce4MX / 512MB PC2700 / AthlonXP 1600
Lilliput / DVDrom / Opus 150W / WD 3.5" 160GB / SB Audigy NX
XP home / Road Runner / iGuidance 4.0
yes this would be great for mirroring frodoplayer and the patches
wow UNLIMITED bandwidth I'd love to have one of those if I were you I'd sign up for an UNLIMITED harddrive as well. If I were you I'd run as far away from HiVelocity as I can, they are a known spam outfit and a large portion of their IP block is blacklisted because of that. On top of that their support stinks and even on their 10mbit unmetered servers I'd love to see you even push 10mbit, good luck

the problem with unlimited bandwidth is they are generally on crappy networksor like limit you to like 1.5mbps which sucks

It's weird cos I have heard this from a lot of other people but I have never had a problem with them - every time I needed support I got it even through live chat. I have 4 servers with them and only had 1 problem with a blocked IP due to spam - all of my other IPs are clean. I don't use them much for email anyway so it's not really an issue.Originally Posted by techm3
I can download from my servers at 250 KBps on my cable modem service so although I have never tested the true maximum throughput it's certainly adequate and my UK Ford Scorpio site handles 65 GB per month and seems pretty fast.
So whilst I understand that others are not so impressed with them, I seem to have been lucky for the last 2+ years
