    quick vb.net and wmp ?

I'm looking to create a sort of equilizer in a vb.net program. I'm using the wmp 10 SDK and I can't seem to find anything to accomplish this. I realize I could make a custom visualization to do it, but I don't really want to go to the trouble to learn how to do that. I'de like to keep it in vb.net, any help is appreciated.

    .

There's not much documentation out there for making advanced options like that. At least as far as I've come across. I think media player does all the equalization internally..

Ok, aside from an equalizer, what about just a visulalization. Can I get the current volume of 31hz, 62hz, etc. ?

Ok I think I got confused and possibly confused others in the process..

what I'm looking for is 2 things (both through the wmp 10 SDK)
1.) an equalizer in VB.net - which would allow me to change the volume of different frequencies.

2.) The ability to make a visualization THOROUGH VB.NET. I realize you can show vis.'s or make custom ones in other programs. But I want the ability to make a visualization real time in VB.net. No other programming language neccesary.

Tell me if I need to clarify

Not possible. Microsoft will not let you have access to it. I believe it
is a licensing issue, as they licensed it from someone else.

Have you looked at MSDN ?

I was hoping you would answer.
licensing on equalizer seems rediculous (I'm not doubting you, it just seems stupid)

I'll read through the MSDN stuff about it tommorow. thanx.

I'll look further into the TimedLevel structure specifically waveform. Am I headed in the right direction ?

(this was wm9 that I'm looking at. outdated ?)

It is possible, Ive done it, just not from VB. You can do it in a C++ application by implementing a remoted skin in local mode. Then you can either use a skin with an EQ directly in your APP or you can pass a pointer for the equalizer object back from the skin into your application.

You can also control visualizations through a similar method.
