    Magnifying glass screen saver

Anyone know where i can get that magnifying glass screen saver that came with WinME for winXP? I need something to prevent a burn in picture in my LCD, but still be able to see the screen for the most part.

ehm... LCDs do not well.. can not suffer 'burn in' that had (in the past) been associated w/ CRTs.

actually I have heard somewhere that it is still possible for LCDs to get burn-in of a sorts. But it takes weeks and weeks of constantly being on and on the same screen to happen. But not nearly as bad as CRT burn-in

i think LCD burn in easier than CRTs. I just want a screensaver nonetheless. Cause i see some minor burn in on my lilliput already.

ok, I'm not in this thread to talk you out of a screensaver. you want one.. you get one.. sure sure.. but LCD's are MUCH LESS likely to experience burn in.. it takes HUNDREDS of hours. of the same image.

While googling for your screensaver. also check "magnifying lense"

The LCD burn-in issue... Its not possible. Even new CRTs don't suffer from it unless turtured. If you search for Jurassic Park, you'll find a bunch of stuff on this.

I don't know where you can find that screen saver though.

Strangely enough the TFT screen pixels do seems to go bad if it had been on for a while non stop.

I have seen many "burnt" images on TFT screens. They were common on Compaq TFT500. They do dissappear after a few days though but annoying enough.

I also have a permanent part image of IE on the top left of my old IBM TFT screen...this one never went away.

    ...just from my obeservation.
