    I love Slackware... but I wouldn't recommend it to a n00b. Yeah, Redhat would probably work pretty well, too.

    why not Knoppix then mandrake then perhaps fedora/redhat or something else you choose. Linux is a bit different than windows. Ive found ya need to read a lot lol. Also keep up to date with things. Because opensource is always changing. Windows just seems to change to suck. Unlike linux. Good luck
