    Post Voice Control

Well, I liked VoodooVoice (voice control plugin) so much that i decided i would make a new one with more features, but I am having troubles compiling. I am using the newest version of the Microsoft Speech API, with Visual C++ 6.0 SP4, and my program right now is a minimal DLL with the winamp interface and a few SAPI functions (CleanupSAPI, InitSAPI, ProcessRecoEvent), but when I compile I get the following error:
    -------------------------------------------------------
    Linking...
LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file "sapi.lib"
    Error executing link.exe.

    gen_voice.dll - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
    -------------------------------------------------------

any suggestions/comments/help would be greatly appreciated. Email me at [email protected] if your willing to help. I can send you the source code if you want to look at it.

I'd say you want to double-check the location of the sapi library and make sure that VC++ is looking for it there.

What is voodoo voice, and where can I get it? I've been looking into making a voice-controlled player, but perhaps just using a winamp plugin would be easier.

yeah, there is some weird error with that program that it doesnt neccesarily recognize under win98. You can upgrade to ME or 2000, or wait untill i get my error solved.

Yup, when we are done, we will post the proggy on this board. Yes, we are using wakeup commands. Any other feature requests? (we fixed the bug that was bothering us)

you guys rock. I want a way to get the personalities voodoo voice has to work better so they sound more cooler. I dunno how to explain it im trying to lol but the personalities are cheezy so far someone needs to be more cooler.

im glad to see someone doing this cause voice voice commands rock.

    Question

    hey smashr2k!

Any chance you're thinking about writing a stand-alone version of Voodoo Voice? maybe one that let's you work the Start Bar, and activate keyboard macros?

    just wondering...

Okay, this may be a totally stupid question, but uhm... is there a list of commands for Voodoo Voice? Like, I got "next track" and "begin play" but I assume there're others...

You all realise that voice control doesn't work very well in a car, right? :-)
