Need help with installing Win98

I am doing a clean install if Win98 (which I have done countless times) for my car computer. I boot with the setup floppy but when I type in "setup" I get the message "Program requires Microsoft Windows", I have never received this message in my life. I have partitioned and formated the hard drive a couple times to see if that was the problem but I am still receiving the message. It is a Maxtor drive and can be read fine. Anyone ever have this problem or knows what to do?

You've probably got the wrong setup.exe on the start up disk. Go to another win98 box and make a new startup disk (With CDROM drivers). Once that is loaded go to your cdrom ('d:') in most casses and type 'setup' from there.

About an hour and a half later I realized that I had the Windows 98 SE upgrade disk in!! And you can't do a clean install off of that! I have everything going fine now. Thanks!
