Post Keyboards and CobraII (or III)

I'm planning on using my ol' Toshiba Libretto 50CT for in cockpit MP3 and Nav. Since I have a full, albeit small, keyboard at my disposal, I was wondering where we stand in getting more extensive keyboard control in CobraII. I have seen mention of it coming in the release notes since July and was just hoping for an update.

    Cool

Read CobraII.txt file.... the mappings are there and is also available on C3. I will add letters later on. BTW, Letters work when u are doing search....u can type the letters from ur keyboard.....

I second the request for keyboard control in Cobra. Single key mapping would be good, rather than multiple-keypad input (especially is you don't have a keypad).

i.e. hit 'b' for next track, rather than [.]6

I would like to see a letter applied for basically everything you can assign the remote to do in setup. For me the actual letter doesn't matter as much as being able to control the app via keyboard. Maybe you could just set it up in the ini file like you do the remote codes. We could just put a letter next to the function. Just a thought.

    Thanks

Thanks soooooo much. My lil Libretto thanks you as well. Unfortunately it's waaay too hard to drive and look for two-key combos.

Here are the functions I find necessary:

Next Track -- Mapping this to the Space Bar would be great!
    Previous Track
    Play
    Pause
    Stop
    Shuffle On/Off
    EQ On/Off

Also, in testing on a long drive this weekend, I seemed to have a problem where CobraII and WinAmp kept fighting to be the foreground app. Sometimes the -> key would skip to the next track (CobraII behavior) and sometimes it would fast forward (WinAmp behavior).

    Thanks for a great app!

Hooyea... This is pretty big for me too! I have one of those universal programmable gamepad controllers as WELL as a IR. Would it be possible to specify key mappings as WELL as IR? My gamepad can emulate almost any keystroke, so ctrl-alt combos and stuff work fine.

OH! Cenwesi, would it be possible in C3 to grab Hibernate events in win2k? I'd REALLY like to be able to turn the volume down to a set level BEFORE it shuts off (nothing more irritating then starting the machine up and having it already at 80% volume or something). Also, AFTER a hibernate (when it starts up) it would be a nice time to reset the serial/IR code since the IRMan loses its state due to being shut off. (All the other remote programs totally fail to handle this and they don't work after returning from hibernate)

    Just some ideas,

    Matt
