VB front end for SB Audigy control?

I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2NX for my carpc and it comes with several applets for controlling eq, mixer, speaker, effects, etc. The problem is that they're a pain to use with my finger on a 7" touchscreen. I'd like to integrate them into whatever frontend (currently frodo) so that I can make quick adjustments easier. Is there any existing app that someone's written for this? Is it even possible to do in VB? I've programmed in several other languages but I just got VB and would like to do this for a first project. Too ambitious???
