    Xp & SP2

ok, so how do you get rid of the log on screen in XP with SP2?

I don't want to have to hit enter every time I boot up and windows starts just to bypass the log on screen

I'm sure it's something really simple and just a box that needs to be checked or unchecked but I haven't come across it in my farting around in the settings...

    anyone care to enlighten me?

to the rest of the peep, next time you install 2000/xp, just type your name, don't put password, it'll get rid of the logon window.

If you use tweak ui it will even log you right in eventhough you have password set.

    I didn't put a password because I didn't want this to happen....

    I think it's SP2 that does it....

    damn extra security

It was an update released before SP2 but is not rolled into SP2 that does it because there was a security risk but logging you right in. I don't know the exact details but its been around a while.
