Question controling the system using IRMan

I am looking for a winamp plugin or program to use with IRMan. I want to be able to control as much as possible i.e shutting down the system, changing playlists, changing tracks, you know the stuff. Just wondering what sort of successes everyone else has had with the various options

    Cool

there are several pluggins out there. Infact if u go over to evation.com or winamp.com u will find them. NOTE: there are limited to just certain functions. NOW if u really want and will be using this in the car, then Cobra I/II/III is ur best bet. Mind you, it is NOT a plugin. Most of the things it does, u can't do in a plugin environment.

I use Girder3 with the combination of Lorty's winamp plugin and it works beautifully with my IRman.

I have heard that IRAssistant is good, but haven't tried it. I use Girder and it works beautifully for me. It can be found at

I have my configuration file for IRAssistant on my web page. It might help you out, you will just have to change the signals for the buttons used.

Why use an IRman when you can get a packard bell remote and receiver for like 8 (or less) bucks off e-bay? You get a remote AND you can use any remote. The only problem is I haven't been able to make it work on IRAssistant since i only have the sensor not the remote that comes with it. It works beautifully with girder though.
