Post Lyrics on a LCD, sorry i want em bad

Anyone hear of this software or can make it easily off of a plugin? I tried looking for source but couldn't find any. Thanks!

I've seen a plugin to do this on winamp.com -- check it out at http://server2041.virtualave.net/cosorio/winamp-en.html . The big problem is getting a database of lyrics! Any suggestions anyone?

While you're on that page, check out the bookmark manager -- I started to use the Album List plugin, but it doesn't allow me to keep my heirarchy of folders -- i.e. breaking up genres. This plugin has keyboard control as well, so we're in luck. The only downfall I've found so far is no ability to refresh ... maybe I'm missing it... maybe it should be implemented.

I don't know of any software and I think I know why. There is no uniform standard for lyrics.. Some artists don't want them published, some don't care. There's not a CDDB for lyrics.. Can you imagine keeping a lyrics database for every song? What a nightmare.

it would be a cool idea, but yes very hard to find lyrics for every song, plus trying to get the words to scroll past in time the song being sung? impossible as every song is different.

But... you ONLY need a database of every lyric to every song you have, something to read the lyrics, figure out how the words are pronounced, sync them up with what's being sung, and display them on the screen...

Gimme 15 mins, I'll program that for you real quick like

Here is a step foward in having lyrics on an lcd. Go to http://www.purelyrics.com and there is a plugin for winamp that shows lyrics to songs in the minibrowser. I've not tried it but i've heard good things about it.
Got started with computers on this board early in high school...now I run a web development company and am about to build my dream machine.
