why don't you turn off hiding system folders
Same as posted in the media car forum:
If I use XP to sync my files over a network, it sticks it all in a folder called offline files. This appears as a shortcut on the desktop. The pyhsical location is a cache in the root folder, which is a system folder. How do I point an application such as a front end to this offline folder, as this is where all my music is? If you try to browse for the folder, you cant see it as you are looking for a shortcut or the cache directory which is a system folder.

I have! But I think i missed the concept of offline files. I should be browsing to the offline folder (the one that I was connected to on the network) not the cache on the root. Even then though, I cant seem to get media car to see any drives. It will only see the C:\ and its folders. I cant point it to the offline netwrok drive, it is not displayed in the list. Maybe I am not getting this, I dont know.
edit mediacar's settings file manually
