.exe editor?

I know how to change the windows xp boot screen, its a exe file...but I do not know how to edit the exe to locate the image and make my own....any help?

Just download a program that does it for you.

I dont want a program that has to be running like stylexp. Thats taking up resources.

Boot screens aren't the same as Window Themes. Once you change it, it's done. You could even uninstall the program and it'll still be there.

for some reason bootxp caused my comp to take a crap.

for some reason the site's not working right now... but they have some way of adding a small line some file, and from that I think you can make your own bitmap... saves from having to install any goofy programs

keep looking up that site for it, when the site comes back online

DOH!, beat me by a couple of minutes... but yeah, just edit that boot.ini file with the appropriate stuff.
