Works for me just fine. Scan the hardrive. If that won't help, just uninstall it. I had the same problem but only with SP1. Screwed up my computer pretty good.
Ok, so I install SP2 and now my computer will not shutdown properly. I go to shut down and it stalls at the shutdown screen with a frozen mouse! Ewwh! Anyone?

When I installed SP2 my computer wouldn't even boot, not even into safe mode. I had to repair windows and uninstall it.

yeah simular thign happened to me, i did fresh install of win2k and after setting up all hardware and stuff installed service pack 1, and it said it had to restart, then it hanged in the bios load up, so i reset it and it wouldnt boot up after that at all.
had to prepare hdd all again took me a while trying to find a way to get back to fat32 from ntfs, then after partition magic im back to win98se, but now after i install any software, or reset comp it has to boot like 3 times before loading into windowss. i dont think partition magic did such a good job so might rip it out and format it under windows in my old comp and do the whole reinstall proceess again.
It's all good. It's not that big a deal right now. I never shutdown my comp anyway. I have NT4 on my primary partition. That's doing me no good (I thought I needed it for school, but I didn't) So I'm going to blast that and install 98 so I can watch TV on my TV-Wonder. 2k support for that card is horrible![]()
