    Question .avi problems

I downloaded a movie the other day (ace ventura, actually), and I can't get it to work right. I have tried 5 different programs to watch it, and the only one that works is the .avi player for winamp, and thats to slow, and it skips real bad. Does anyone know what I can do to get it to work?

it only plays in Winamp .avi player, and it sucks cause its to slow because that player was badly written.

Not to mention some groups have codecs of their own. SMR, MRG (used to), and TMD (used to). Try http://www.moviecodec.com, the AngelPotion codec fixes most problems.
