    Question "the path is too deep?

    ok im not sure where to post this but..
    im trying to transfer a lot of mp3's to my car setup from my main machine. im running winblows xp pro on my main, and winblows me on the car box. after a little while and a few files i get an error saying that the path is too deep. what the heck does that mean? i've never seen this before and i didnt find it when i looked it up on yahoo. any help would be appreciated.

    try looking on www.microsoft.com do a search on the exact error message.....

    I have seen this error before. It is caused by having too many nested directories. there is a limit on how long the path name of a directory can be. The limit seems to vary between different operating systems and might be a limitation of netbios.

    eg. c:\some\directory\names\can\be\way\to\long\for\windows\to\handle\causing\this\type\of\error\

    The exact limit is 259 characters, including the drive letter and filename.

    So you need to maybe shorten some of those directory/file names.
