Question Rotating the Desktop 90 degrees?

I know that there are old monitors that publishers use that can rotate 90 degrees to make for portrait orientation as opposed to landscape... I was wondering if there was a software way of doing that? I know that there are viruses that can flip and invert a windows machine's video output... is there a way to rotate it so I can orientate an LCD like an ebook?

If I REALLY look for it, I know there's a $30 program out there that does that.... Anyone know of a freeware app?

I have been using Pivot's free trail for a month or so and I like it. Soon after the 30 trail was over then sent me a special offer to buy it for $29.95.

It work very well and it makes my 10.4" LCD fit much nicer in the pickup. If anyone has any questions about it let me know
