    Blank screen add-on

The .zip file attached contains a vb exe which once run will blank the screen to make it appear off.

To make the screen come back on just press any of the normal keys (i.e no function keys, cursor key etc) or touch the touchscreen.

Handy for the odd times the police appear unexpectedly.

Mute function coming soon to mute all audio.

    To Use:

Just run the executable when needed, will make screen appear off, when you press a key or touch a touchscreen/press a mouse button the app will exit taking you back to where you were.

Let me know of any problems ... tested fine here.

You can put this into the NaviVoice run commands. So when you get pulled over you could say "screen off" and it would run this

My desktop wallpaper is pure black and i can still see the screen being on. Jusst a suggestion.
    NaivVoice does that too

Nope the app puts the screen into 'off' mode using the Windows API, it remains off until a key is pressed or the touchscreen is pressed, I wrote it as a quick app for myself and thought would put a copy on here for others to use.

I've just tested it on my work TFT and the screen thinks its in standby when I run the app - exactly what I wanted it to do :-)

I don't have a power button on my LCD, it's all built into the dash. I'm using Gareth's screenoff code in another VB app so I can switch the screen on / off using a button on my stalk controls, useful driving down country roads late at night!
