    Question Shutting Down Windows

    I have a Pentium 133 running Win95 and
Winamp. I use a keypad to control winamp.
What is the best way to shut down windows
from my keypad??? I have not installed the computer into my truck yet..

I've heard of people using macro recorders (ghostwriter, ez macro, windows recorder) to do this but I'd say the best way to do it is with a specialized program (or plug-in) that uses a hotkey to make an ExitWindowsEx API call (maybe MS Intellitype). Anyway, Back before I moved to a mini keyboard I wrote such a plug-in but I'm no expert programmer and it's never been thoroughly tested, still if you want give it a try you can download it from here...

Thanks. I will be glad to test your version
of the plugin. I will look into the other macro programs as well. Whichever works.
