request

I am looking for a plugin that will let me play my playlist files BACK TO BACK like an endlist track, rather than crossfading into eachother. Like a mixtape or mix cd... endless.

I am not talking about that function. That does loop the entire playlist, but I dont want any spaces between songs... You know how a mixtape sounds... one continuous mixture of songs? No spaces whatsoever... can anyone write that type of plugin?

don't know if this would help you but i built a custom mp3 player file manager type app to be used my car. What it can do is allow you to select and play a variety of mp3's, folders containing mp3's, and m3u's. Theoretically, you could uses this to select the m3u files you wanted played to play them seemlessly. If you're interested you can check it out here - however, not sure if it will behave in the way you are looking for.

I'm rather confused by this request.. when I play a playlist in WinAMP, it doesn't ever pause or leave a gap between tracks.. motif, what version of WinAMP are you running and how fast is your computer?

I am using the latest version, I just downloaded it this week. I want the playlist to play through the songs "seemlessly"... so that you cannot tell that another song is starting and one is ending.

I get you right, you want to have player that would play songs mixed to each other in a way that a DJ would.
You realize that this would be done in a away of altering speed. In this case automatically. You would have to define a BPM (beats per minute) in which every song is being played. If you have very different kinds of music it would sound some sort of a ****.
For example some 82bpm rap song would sound a bit different when played 132bpm

Probably the biggest problem is to get those songs to sync. And that my friend, is not easy job to do. Go ahead, try to figure a way to measure bpm from any possible song given. Acappella, Classical, drum 'n bass, just to name a few bit hard ones.

Though I'm not saying that someone would of not done this kind of a plugin or is willing to construct one...

Ah! I finally found the plugin! I knew it was out there somewhere.. actually, I think it used to be packaged with WinAMP. Anyhow, it's simply called the "Continuous Output" plugin and can be found at the WinAMP web site on the general plugins page.
