    Question Winamp as Shell?

I have read several times about people setting up Winamp as their shell. I'm assuming it speeds up the boot process. Just curious, what is this and how does it work? Also, does anyone know if there's any way to disable the memory test during bootup? This adds 10-15 secs. to the boot time (Win 98). Thanks.

    Cool

Go into your win.ini/system.ini file and set shell=c:\program files\winamp.exe
As for speed, get Win98Lite. I blieve it is at http://www.win98lite.com
