I wish Cingular would get moving with UMTS. In the mean time, I'm really tempted to just buy a Windows Mobile PDA from Verizon (or Sprint) with EV-DO. It's pretty damn fast.

My GSM cell phone on Cingular is actually able to stream recorded and live TV as well as music from my Media Center PC with Orb, and that's only over GPRS. You can get unlimited EV-DO for $50/month, or even cheaper for limited use.

    Grr.

Although most of this technology is so promosing. I live in a small city that is a technological black hole.

I get 3 clear AM/FM radio stations on my radio, XM satellite radio barly has signal in most locations, There is only one cell phone tower (because the city keeps rejecting attempts to build newer more moden ones) Cell phone signals are just terrible. I'd say 70% of the area is still dial-up. I'm just crying here for a technology break!

About 50 miles away there is a big city with all of this technology already in place, I was actually born there. It's frustrating to know that just 50miles away there is technology freedom!

LOL i got you beat. Where I lived in Massachusetts, there was AND STILL IS NO CABLE!!!

You got DirectTV or whatnot, and thats it.

And thats very recent, most people have an antenna!

No cell phone towers within town, so no signals work.

    Basically its the woods.

    Clutch, way to brag!

I live in the sticks and while my pc is on the workbench, even though I have AM/FM radio in the car I pretty much just shut my radio off...

I though I read somewhere that Sprint or T-mobile was offering satellite radio on there mobile phones....so I guess its hear already, just convert your mini headphone jack to rca's and plug in to your HU.
