    Post A Tough Plugin/Software Request.

I'm basically looking to build an MP3 player for my car, using a PC running Winamp (or something else), outputting to a 4x40 LCD screen.

Winamp is my preferred software, but I'd use anything offering it.

I would like my directory structure to look like this:

    \A
    \B
    \C

and so on... Each letter representing the first letter in the artists name... I'd like the player to be able to jump to the next/previous track in its directory (A, B, C or whatever), OR jump to the next directory (if its in B, it would jump to C). This would allow me to have everything fairly organized and easily/quickly available. Also, don't know if a plugin is available for this, but a "skip 10 tracks" button would be nice, because some directories like R, S, and M will have over 200 hundred songs to sort through (though if the next/previous button had a fastscan, it wouldn't be required).

That is the main, toughest request... If anyone can point me in the direction of a plugin that does this, or might possibly be able to code one up quickly (I'm definately not worth weeks of work), I'd appreciate it.

The second, less important feature I was looking for is the ability to have a "Playlist Directory". Since Winamp doesn't allow Nested playlists, it makes it a bit difficult, but I'd like to go to a directory named "!" or "@" or some non-alphabetic character, and be able to browse through a list of different playlists just like they were songs (I'd have genre playlists, and different album playlists in here). I don't think this is possible without nested playlists though.

    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

I haven't used Cobra yet, so I can't speak for it or against it

But I would download a bunch of plugins and try them all until you get one that works for you.

For me I got the Lorty plug in, but it may not suit your needs.
