I've deleted evertyhing concerning it in regedit and now this last time I can't even install windows now.. what gives?

    msconfig...

it's probably being started on boot. click start > run > type "msconfig" > "startup" tab and look for an entry that has delfolder.exe listed. take the tick out of the box, reboot, voila.

    good luck!

what do you mean by "delete and re-install XP"? Are you reformatting the drive? Because if you are then you should not be having any problems on a fresh XP install...
