    Question True Shuffle Plugin?

As many of us noticed, winamp's shuffle mode isn't a true shuffle. It seems like it has some kind of pattern, and it plays songs according to that pattern. If you try to use your player at the same time every day,you will see that songs that you heard yesterday seems like repeating on themselves.Looks like the pattern depends on the clock settings,i.e. time .
Did anybody make a true shuffle plugin for winamp,or you know where I can get one? I know that some people did that but on their custom players,I need one for the winamp

You're not going insane 'cause it's happening to lots of us. Would be great if they changed the shuffle or someone made a plugin.

At the risk of sounding like an advertizement...

The Lorty plugin has a shuffle mode...it is too random because over an extended play time...hours, you can hear some songs more than others.

That is only a minor complaint.

As long as it is in shuffle mode, if you hit the next song button (or probably even previous song) it will randomly find a new song.

The winamp shuffle simply shuffles a playlist and uses the result as a new playlist.

Lorty uses winamp's shuffle mode,if you press key on his plugin that enables shuffle mode, you will see the winamp's shuffle indicator turns on

lol....One thing for sure, i will implement one for CobraIII. You would think that winamp will select different song when u u have over 800 mp3's on a playlist! Damn bloody ppl at winamp seems to ignore this problem....so many ppl have been complaining to them.

That's the primary reason I wrote mine. My main feature is it has a shuffle mode that will not repeat a single song until it's gone through the entire playlist.

Cenwesi, you should definitely put this on your request list.

Okay I stand (or sit) corrected...I guess the Lorty generates a playlist on its own, then shuffles through it, because I don't have any playlists on my machine...

also it must generate a new playlist everytime it starts...unless that is something winamp does automatically since it finds any new song I dump on the drive.

    Easy answer.

Because it's not all that easy just to click on the playlist and randomize it. Another problem is that when you want to go through a section, like for instance, my STP section, I don't want to have to go back to resorting it. Long process that sounds a lot easier than it actually is.
