Is there a way to rip scenes from a DVD? I have a music video on my DVD i would love to play in my car (no DVD on my car player). I'm new to DVD ripping so any help would be much appreciated. THANKS

"if everything is under control, you're not going fast enough!"
there was a way to do it using a program available at dvd-copy.com, but a judge put a stop to that last year. You might be able to find it floating around on a warez site.

A little off topic but maybe someone has the answer. I have a new book pc with a 600Mhz Celeron and 32M memory. Also bought a 6X Toshiba DVD drive and put in it. Problem is that with WinDVD and also with PowerDVD the playback is very choppy and not watchable. Anybody have suggestions. More memory?

try a dvd decoder card. realmagic's holywood is a nice one from what i hear. It makes dvd's play smooth on systems all the way down to a pentium 90! very impresive. plus you can find them dirt cheap on ebay (under 20)
Can't - Book PC has no slots for extra cards.
More memory is always the first answer with a newer machine 128megs is nice, but 64 megs is the minimum to run windows (no matter what microsnot says).
If that doesn't help then start experimenting.
Your machine is the minimum speed they recommend for software decoding, so you will definately have to make sure other software is off, like AntiVirus, Find fast, winamp, you know stuff like that.
