trying to play a DVD under a funky windows resolution, errors??

I'm in the process of building a PC to go in a car, and I'm using a modded 5" LCD. The LCD uses a funky resolution that only certain video cards can handle.

    640x480 interlaced, c-sync enabled, 13.74 pixel clock ... around 30.3hz refresh rate @ 32bit color.

the video card i'm using is a 4mb Matrox Millenium PCI graphics card.

i'm running winxp sp2, and tried playing a dvd under windows media player. it gave me an "illegal operation" type error, and had to close.

I tried Zoom Player, and it basically did the same thing.

What's going on here? Is there a different program I should try?

    thanks for the help!
