New version up now supports serial.

This should work with jims serial interface for those of you who have built one of those. I am working on new schematisc for both the USB and serial system.

    Hi everybody!

I've been looking for a solution like this to integrate a beltronics 995 into my carputer. Zpilott, yours is a Killer app !!!!

Unfortunately AFAIK its only suitable for use with valentine one, is there any chance that it will support other radar detectors from the major vendors (beltronics, escort.. )? I live in Europe and there're plenty of Ku band speed cameras, valentine does not detect ku band cameras, Am i right?... are valentine detectors software upgradeable? ....

Any info will be most welcome.

BTW: I would be interested in two fully built kits

I got good news and bad news. I don't know enough about the bel to say if it could be integrated, but the V1 has the remote display which makes it a lot easier to connect (without having to hack the radar detector itself).

However, the V1 does support Ku (later versions) and if you have an older version you can get it upgraded (cost depends on how old). It is not turned on by default, but you can find the instructions here . I don't know where it displays, Anyone here know? I imagine it flashes one of the other signal indicators.

I am still trying to figure out the costs. getting a nice enclosure is turning out to be the biggest question right now. I dont think it should cost as much for a little plastic box as it costs for everything inside it....
