VisualDesigner for creating other skins

OK, I read the docs, but still, my question remains...

I dont want to use the CLICKEDIMAGE, etc, I want to use the button created by visualdesigner... that way I can resize it and everything.... If I use a button from photoshp I cant resize, and if I put the clickedimage, etc, I lose the "button feel"

Never thought someone want to use the standard buttons. I'll add that.

And this is what I want... but with this way (without clickedimage/focusimage/etc) I cant have a different look for "pressed"... I'm not sure I am making myself clear...

With this setting the button looks good, like a button, but there is no Pressed state... the _off and _on images are the same...

But Z, if we dont use standard buttons there is no way of resizing without loosing the quality....

To compensate that, your button base should be PNG and real big (let's say 200x200 pixels). So you can make it any size without looking ****ty.

Yes... that might be a better idea..... but for quick jobs it is useful to have the standard buttons, if it isnt a lot of work... + with the transparencies for Normal / FocusedTransparency we can get some good effects....

Thanks Zorro! This is working now for standard buttons too!

Here is my results, standard buttons look nicer I think... You can see the dummy button I made in PNG (clicked/normal) on the right side, and the skin with 1 standard button and one custom button (using the two images you see on the right), the quality of the edges isnt good I think....

Now on to some feautre requests for you to see if possible:

- Make standard buttons have Glow
- Standard buttons have "Clicked" state, that appears really CLICKED
- Duplicate buttons (to make it easer when making similar buttons in one skin)EDIT: copy/past controls? is this possible? instead of just duplicating buttons we can copy, cut, paste any control....

I'm sure I'll have more ideas when I really start using it... cant wait! This is what I asked for in anohter thread and peple said it didnt exist!

The export skin file is created in the phonecontrol dir.
I found the button to create new things

Here's what would be great:
Another 3 properties in the background image for the mousedown, on, and on_mousedown.

Glow - No, use CustomDrawn.
Clicked - Click is animated so you don't see it on a pic, use CustomDrawn.
Copy'n'Paste - I'll think about.

Stop having ideas. It's not healty.
