Thread: VisualDesigner for creating other skins

Sorry I dont understand the last question boris....

from what I understand you have a background image that already has all the buttons (this would pose a problem for the clicked state though, cause the background is constant) and what you want is merely to designate a "hotspot" on top of the background (aligned to a button printed on the BG) that when clicked will perform some action, right?

If that is the case I dont understand the previous question....

If that isnt the case then we are all speaking different languages... (Z: german, B: russian Me: portuguese) and hence we will never understand each other until we all switch to english...

I need to get to bed, its 5fcking30am....

Yes! I need a hotspot with the exact description you're giving! Because it takes forever to cut out each button in photoshop and then import it.

try this... I just tried it and it gave me a transparent button... nothing, just the hotspot....

add a button
delete caption
set CustomDraw = True

DO NOT ADD ANY IMAGES... the lack of images will make the button fully transparent.

Yes, but now the clicked and focused image is transparent.

ohh, well the quick answer is the way that zorro did this I think is to make it easier to make NEW skins... unless you chop all the pieces up in photoshop I dont think youll be able to make it pull them like it does in RRSkinEditor for example...

Unless you use VD only for making the INI and use your original JPGs/PNGs....

That is exactly why I am asking for those changes. This program is very easy to use. And I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to glue together the COM object in VB6 to export it to my XML.

Update available! (Copy'n'Paste added and some changes on handling).

Note that all texts shown here are properties of each button. Changing them is done with keying in the new Caption and do a skin export.

No. My intension was not to make an Hotspot-Editor.
