it works really well actually, am a little miffed why there is no option for, always use whell to control volume. You always need to hold somthing down!?
But you can control any out put you want, even screnn brightness which also works really well and you can have 5 differnt customisable buttons to control different things.

Anyone know of a similar app where you dont need to hold a button down and the scroll whell is always a volume knob?

Girder can do it i think.

If you hack the mouse apart you can crate a nice clicky wheel to replace the roller.

Yeah I just had to bring those thread links back, especially since my question about where the knob came from never got answered.

Oh well, got some other knob, but not sure if I like it as much.

Had to bring thread back to life. Volumouse is awesome!! I got it fully configured in about 60 seconds. I still cant figure out girder. Got my doner mouse today too so ill be adding a volume knob to my setup soon. I really like the 'steps' part of this program bacause its set to tun up/down fast, like one complete revolution of the scrool wheel goes from 0 to 100% volume. Loving it! I would try out this handy app if your looking to add an inexpensive way to control volume.
