Something looking like this would be cool. http://members.sigecom.net/tbrooks/index.html Someone suggested using a flash decompiler but it didn't work very well.

Flash and Javascript can communicate with each other with no problems.

Do you have the Javascript side done?? I could possibly help on the Flash end and help to get the info from Javascript to Flash, but I don't know Javascript all that well.

If someone can design the flash I can write the JavaScript. I am not a designer, unless you want 20year old type crayon design! But I am a coder. So I can help write the Sin/Cos stuff, I've done something similar for Pie chart graphs in JavaScript/actionscript.

If someone can design the source Flash and post it I'll fix it and create a public function to manipulate the dials in the guage.

My first on mp3car.com, I have been reading for a couple weeks, but just registered last night. Frodo, I saw your request this morning, and threw something together in a couple hours.

Anybody who is interested can check it out at: http://www.dashcommand.com/TestGauge.htm

To see the Gauge, press the Initialize button, then you can update the value of the speedometer by changing the value textfield on the right hand side, and hitting the 'update value' button.

You can change the parameters to create the gauge, however, I suggest that you click refresh before you change the parameters to it loads the flash file again. I currently do not have it reset the gauge when you press 'Initialize'.

All feedback is welcome, and Frodo, let me know if this is the sort of thing you were looking for.

Come on now Frodo, you seem like an intelligent guy. I'm not trying to create production demo's for you. I have done this work for you, so take a little initiative and try it in IE.
