It is illegal in the UK. I can't help it if the extremely unusual US justice system allows it!!

Find a rich kid with similar taste in music and steal his mp3 player. Repeat as necessary, or untill jailed. You will probably stay out of jail longer just using file sharing, and the rich kids wouldve uploaded it to you anyway!

Hey, don't tell him that crap, he already said he doesn't like filesharing!
And in fact, filesharing is way more illegal than recording radio streams 'cause you OFFER the downloaded files at the same time! So I think THIS should "keep you in jail" for a long time!

The radio stations payed for the music, so they can broadcast it legally; recording the streams ain't illegal in my opinion! I'm feelin far better than share files with other people!

    ... just think about it

Of course, after you've downloaded the files simply move them to another folder...
BUT WHILE you're downloading you SHARE it with others, for example eM*le and AppleJ*ice: You can limit the upload rate but not to 0 kb/s. That's the way it works, man!
You have to give something in order to receive your files!

    I don't like this method!

There are tons of sights to download new music. Legally.
Musicians usually offer it on there sites. Very little money is to be made from royalties so, if a musician can recoop costs via live shows giving away free downloads only makes sense. IMO

    http://garageband.com - Free Downloads

Research what music you like and find the music online (it's no that hard, if you can post here you have the knowledge)

If you are into singer/songwriter stuff see my sig, free downloads there too. The site is in a state of change due to my schedule but it all works.

hahaha oooh nooo, someone might get the song in the 30 seconds it takes to download it, even though your upload speed is alot lower than ure download speed, so you couldnt upload the whole song, haha but still, oooh noo, quick, someone call the cops

... but you cannot get the new music that's in the charts!
Of course, your hint is worth a look, especially if you don't care who's the artist. But if you're one of the millions of mainstream listeners you can't get the music you probably want that way!

    @MaHk:
Ever heard of IP adresses? It doesn't matter if the other one got the whole song, your IP indicates that you OFFERED it!

Ever since the early 90's "Grunge" scene, I have given up on mainstream music. There are so many bands out there, trying to be like mainstreme bands, you can usually find so much better.

Then again if you are stuck on listening to the pre-fabbed crap on the radio today, then you are limited.
