    Destinator 3Navigation

Destinator 3 Navigation is for pocket PC from what I see on their website.

    http://www.destinator1.com/

So I am assuming that it will install and run on Windows XP and hence what users are using? Then load Freedrive on top of it.

It sounds like it will give me what I am after, voice that tells you what is going on. I currently use Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 and it is nice but does not talk to you nor tell you left or right just has the motion nav map where it moves as he car does.

Destinator by itself only works on Pocket PC. FreeDrive is a program that makes the maps and functions of Destinator run in Windows (to simplify). MapMonkey does the same thing. Microsoft Streets and Trips is worthless on a small auto screen. iGuidance is a true Windows program and is also very feature filled like the Destinator programs. Typically people use FreeDrive and MapMonkey in Europe, and I have found that iGuidance is much more friendly for North America, (US and Canada). iGuidance is also less expensive, its only $109.00 direct from the iNav and Destinator is $169.00 for the US program and maps direct from them.
