You can set the music to be routed only through your speakers. Wear your headset on the ear opposite of the window (less noise). And on some systems, you'll have to autorun a registry file because the BT gets reset.
My problem with mics comes down to noise being introduced in the wire. I have been debating getting the usb logitech that is praised so much here or shooting for a bluetooth head set like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106934 I was looking for anyone that has tried this particular mic or any blue tooth one.
I am a blue tooth virgin and was curious about one thing, can you tell it to only use the mic and not the speaker? Last thing I want is music coming through the head set. I was debating buying one of the nicer wired mics mentioned, but I have just had soo many problems with noise. All is good with my audio wires and the mic works so-so until you enable the boost then the noise becomes too much.
So what do you all think will work the best, Bluetooth or usb logitech? At this point I am very willing to pay for a good set up provided it works fairly well. Mostly looking for some bluetooth first had experience.
I've never ran a BT headset on a puter but I use one for my phone all the time. The quality is great. Sometimes I can hear better with the headset then I can with the phone itself. So I would suggest going BT. Plus you have the added advantage of not having to deal with wires while you are driving.
Just because I haven't posted alot doesn't mean I haven't searched and know what I am talking about!

The praise for the Logitech is that it works well and doesn't cost that much. However, you may have noticed that it doesn't work when the windows are open or the stereo is loud. A bluetooth headset will probably work better for you in that environment.
Well, i can't get the stupid this to work on my carpc. I was gone for the weekend but first thing after work today I brought the PC inside and plugged it in to a monitor and ethernet. no more remote desktop problems Well, Now i cannot get it to detect the microphone. It detects the device but will not act as a microphone. Works great on my laptop though. One thing I thought was weird, under the Services tab there are none listed on neither my laptop nor the carpc. Any bluetooth experts out there care to give me any advice?
Edit: My one thought is that it might be because I am running media centet 05 on there just to try it out. I love MSDN! it is nothing fancy to be honest, I just haven't felt like reinstalling since it is bassically XP Pro anyway. Going to tomorrow anyway if no other solution presents itself.
