My carpc though will probably not see this until at least end of 2006 or 2007 sometime when all our frontends catch up and stuff... I am already foreseeing a bunch of "xxx frontend doest work on vista" threads... I wonder how well the Winamp/WMP/XP dlls stuff will work in Vista...

In Vista icons will be completely changed. Documents don't have a icon anymore that shows the file-type, but it shows the first page of the document. Folder-icons will show you the inside files by using 3D technology. You'll see the files coming forward in a slideshow while you're watching the folder.

lol , all this talk of "I"ll never upgrade past XP" reminds me of 5 years ago

I honestly think the OS will be better than XP, but will require the appropriate hardware (to this moment this isnt of course known and wont be known until people start running the thing's final version)...

quirks will exist in the first versions, but I think it will ultimately be a natural upgrade from XP for ALL users.

unless i have a damn good reason... never. i refuse to update unless they give me a reason to.

and when they do ill be runing fedora or another distro. so no big deal.
