While 1/3 may be pirated, those 1/3 aren't stupid enough to use the keys floating around the web

    billions in lost income?

does that mean that they lost billions or are just not getting billions that they should be?

    another question
if they are losing billions and thats just a 1/3 so they are making "billions" X 2?

im starting to feel sorry for microsoft

"The firm has been offering incentives, in the form of freebies such as photo slide-show software, to persuade people to use the service."

Have you seen, of course you have, the ******* paper and watermarks and hidden foils and **** they M$ puts on their Serial #s?

******* waste of money.....but he of all people CAN waste money if he wants to.
Why be worried people are pirating your OS....when you make money everytime someone buys a machine (except build yer own)....

    Greed can be nasty.

But maybe its cuz M$ got slapped with that AntiTrust lawsuit and now they are all hurt and crying like a little child and figure its time to put that misery onto someone else.

If I was offered such "incentives" as a photo slide-show software, i'd feel insulted.

So every one of you is saying that programmers shouldn't be paid fully for their work?
It sounds to me like YOU are the greedy ones.
