A.I.M.E.E Screenshot Update

Stumbled across some new screenshots on the AIMEE website, check 'em out:

It's looking encouraging guys (Danceheaven and Confused)... that's if there is some code behind all those screenshots!

Wondering whether the mobile phone module is powered by PhoCo or written from scratch? MS MapPoint embedded looks awesome. Is that Climate Control functional in one of your cars? What interface are you using?

ummm... I don't know... by the screenshots it seems they're doing pretty good with the development (Mappoint, Destinator, A/C control etc)... hell, given the change even I'd give it a spin...

You have all been spoilt by the quick development times that guino has provided to everyone with RoadRunner, so if someone (us) takes their time to write something (we're not professional coders, we're doing it as a hobby) or actually has something else to do than code - such as go to work, or have a life

(I'm sure guino has other stuff to do - but with the speed he throws things out - i'd be surprised if he's not a trained monkey coding guru!

We're still working on it, and it IS getting closer to a release - we just have to control ourselves and pick a point and say "this is it, no more new features" - but saying that is much easier than doing it

Plus, we've always said that we're writing it for ourselves, and we're going to offer it to others, so it'll be on our timescale, not yours!

I don't really care if most people hate it - providing at least one person wants to use it, then I'll be happy that I've been able to help someone out, as we are writing it to suit ourselves.

As for Phone - currently it's PhoneControl, but we have been working on getting it done "in-house". The Climate Control is currently going to use Mastero's hardware (available in the Hardware Development forum), as I created the stand-alone software for Mastero, so it may as well be embedded into AIMEE

I should be getting the hardware from Mastero within a couple of weeks, and I will then get it into my Prelude (which being UK spec doesn't have climate, only A/C)

me and garry started development of AIMEE back in the days of media car and media engine, long before roadrunner or centrafuse or MMC etc and long after founder apps such as Cobra collection.

weve been there since the start guys and we wont be letting you down..

Remeber good things come to those who wait..... then you get a pair of socks...
