i used frodoplayer for a bit, loved it but centrafuse has a larger on screen keyboard for searching for music and i decided that was easier for me and my fat fingers, but for a FREE piece of software it can do some impressive stuff

it is just that you went and took a 10 minute preview of a software with no background in the market of apps that perform this function and gave a summed up review...

    errors:
#1 - you directly insulted the owner/operator/moderator of this message board who graciously has provided so much to the very community that you are trying to become a part of...
#2 - do not have a car computer (according to your board posted info), so you are unaware of what is important when actually trying to interface in a car... sure you have ideas of things you'd like to have, it is just that you are forgetting the hours and hours that the average user on this board has spend manipulating/editing/wiring/tinkering with the MANY MANY facets of the carputer setup...
#3 - have not tested any other apps...
#4 - you decided that "cheap" was a good label to place on the application that has been backed by thousands of hours of programming and I would venture to say has been through millions of hours of usage...
#5 - haven't grasped the typical message board mentality... I have 200 posts and I consider myself in the lower 25% of this board... I am barely not a newb... I have invested TOO MANY hours, TOO MANY dollars... but I still realize that I have a lot to learn and very little to offer...

so understand that you crossed a lot of lines when you shouted your opinion from the rooftop... you are entitled to it, but this forum is not the place UNLESS you have something to offer --- or --- UNTIL you have a better grasp on this whole "computer in a car" thing.

"to big for your britches" is how your Uncle would call it...

Note: I do NOT own MP3Car.com
I just primarily run the message board here.
All other MP3Car stuff is not me.

mgithens dude you took it too far. For one I did not "insult" the owner. Wow. And all that other crap, wow you are just a dick. Actually no I spent more time using Frodoplayer and am really starting to like it. I swear, people take things the wrong way on this message board or something. This is like my 6th post on this board and people are already getting on my case about something! Not a very friendly place to be. Frodobaggins, I'm sorry if I so called "directly insulted" you man, I did not mean to cause any harm. Dude, I think it's awesome that what you have made is free and its very nice software so far. Thank you.

L-U-R-C-H sorry to see you get flamed here.

Frodoplayer is a great peice of freeware and the community appreciates his work. You just can't talk smack about it.

Also if someone is offering free software and listening to the community you could refraise

I used FrodoPlayer a little bit but it seems a little cheap to use.

    to something more constructive
I used Frodoplayer a little bit but I didn't like the Menu graphics or it failed when I did X,Y,Z.

You need to spend some more time looking through these frontends. Every setup is different meaning software needs to be configured for the individual user preference. Different skins will also greatly change the feel of the frontent.

Reddeath did some nice work with the N64 emulator but you really need a P4 to run it smoothly.

of all things to label me, I promise me being a dick couldn't be further from the truth... I guess I just have a better comprehension of the efforts, the software, etc...

of course, I have not interjected my opinion at any point... other than the fact that I do believe those with nothing constructive to say should bite their tongues... I'm sorry that you fail to see that...

frodo... sorry, I meant to word it as "owner of FP, operator/moderator of this board"... it was getting late...
