Thread: Xport 2 and Compass... THE solution for hibernation

If you have the new version, just hit the scan button and it should fix everything. It shouldn't be a problem if you have it in different locations, but 2 different versions can be a problem.

Edit: Oh yes. 1.09 recalculated the port arbiter but didn't save the new value.

Alright guys, I found something really interesting regarding to Xport3 version.
GPS is the yellow earthmate with Emate2 driver.
OS is XP SP2 with most of the latest update/patch and nLite by me.
With Xport3 version after 1.06 (one with check box for USB devices), the GPS is dead cold after hibernate while other USB devices in the same hub work fine. I forgot what version I use a while but that version cause none of the devices in that hub to wake up. No not about power and idle stuff you been reading.
With Xport3 version before 1.06 (1.04), work perfectly fine for me. .
Although the version string still say 1.03 .
I'm glad that I have some of the older version in the HD.

Well, that's not a good feature!
Do you have it set to disable/enable the GPS or other devices? It's not always better to use that. I've found that some devices don't like it. Like if I use it on my WiFi, it will come back up disabled or fails to start up, then hibernate again and it's back.

Nope, I didn't change anything.
One thing I notice about the check box on 1.10 is that if I select only the GPS, other devices work but not the gps. GPS works again on 2nd or 3rd hibernation. But if I check another devices (TS)+GPS, the system is basically crawling. Nothing check, samethign as only GPS check.
The reason I go back to the old version is that it one of the version I have long ago that work perfect which is 1.04/1.03 on my Supra setup.
Also note that 1.04 work for me doesn't mean that work for you. I use 1.06 in my Matrix setup with a AyAy Sir GPS and that work fine too (but not in the supra with earthmate). What I mean is there is no version better than other, just find one that work for your hw. Interesting huh?

Yes, very interesting. I guess that's one word for it. The only thing that's really changed besides the auto devcon thing is probably the delay in opening the serial port after resuming. It's about 8 seconds right now, and was 20 in earlier versions. I wouldn't expect that to be a problem though.

Thanks alot for this! I tried with an older version, coming with the digitalfx skin, worked great except after hibernating. Will test the new version tomorrow!

Anyone using Xport3 with GoopS? I can confirm GoopS has problems with Xport3 after resume from hibernation. At least for me it does!

I can also confirm that it appears that my Toshiba HD-DVD player now thinks it is a Betamax!!!
