It's just that this may not be any different. It just releases more resources when hibernating. But yeah, I'll keep everyone updated on any changes.
HAHA you crack me up! So there is a new version, but you don't know if it is better?Originally Posted by Curiosity
Yes, please do take a few seconds to announce new releases. A lot of people subscribe to the threads... so if you come and post a simple "UPDATED" message, that's enough. We will all get notified via email, and will know to go grab the latest and greatest.

Curiousity...
Just an FYI. I got xport3 workin fine with my hibernation now. I just needed to adjust to a lower com port. Apparently iguidance doesnt like the high ones.
Ah, good to hear! Yes, iGuidance sucks when it comes to COM ports over 9. It only saves 1 digit, so for COM10 it starts back up with COM1.
Can someone please explain how this works and how to set it up? My problem is that if i leave IG running before comp starts to hibernate, I'll get a "dump memory" screen next time I start XP.
Will this app fix the problem????
My GPS is set to com5 (i think) in IGuidance. Is that what I need to make my INPUT in XPORT? How about outputs? How many outputs need to be set and to which com ports?
After I set output com ports and "Enable Service", will XPort run at startup or do I need to put it in my startup folder manually?
Thanks a lot
Gene, you need to update your GPS driver. Is that the yellow one? I think that was the one with the unstable old driver that had an update. XPort will probably help even with bad drivers because it disconnects from the GPS while hibernating (acts like it's being closed when you hibernate).
To set it up, yes COM5 would be your input, use COM6 and COM7 as outputs if they are available, enable service, and close the window. It will run automatically from then on. Open iG and set it to COM6 and you should be good to go.
I did, couple of weeks ago. I configured input to port 5 and one of the outputs to 16 or 15. IG kept crashing my system. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong.Originally Posted by tj!2k4
My gps mouse is black, I got it on ebay about a year ago.
I'll see if I can find a newer driver for it.
