Admins, PLEASE make an XPORT subforum in the software section. This is an essential App for Carputers.

i agree! So many of us have gps hibernation issues and this program is the CURE for it. The program has been out for awhile but i was completely unaware of what it could do for me.

Frodo, I think we have enought vote for a Xport subforum

Seriously, I see a lot of benefit and potential of this app.
    - Free compare to GPSGate
    - Written by our own members.
    - Works darn nice.
    - Any front end can add little GPS speedo without much problem.

I do it just to bug you. The new version just makes sure it doesn't get run more than once because the second one wouldn't show the service running.

New version up. If you've noticed that it doesn't start sometimes when you reboot windows, you should get the new one.

Same here! I though it was when I hibernated and didn't resume and the reset lost something, but it finally happened again and a light bulb came on. D'Oh!

    Curiosity:

I got the new version (1.03), replaced the old one, rebooted, and the bug was still there!

This is what I see after reboot: The Xport window is visible, the 'checkbox' is unchecked, and data seems to be streaming. As soon as I hit the 'checkbox' to enable it, it gives me some odd error (presumably that it cannot activate it because it is already running?). But regardless, after I do all this, it does seem to be correctly enabled.

Oh great. I had that happen the first time I tried it in the car, but it's been fine since. The Install Service checkbox is tied to the start with windows, so it does need to be checked have everything working right. I'll do more testing.
