I'm curious as to how the resume from hibernation function works? Does it work solely on COM ports or could it be put to use with other devices that dont resume from hibernation. For example... my bluetooth dongle doesnt. Could xport be the cure for other usb devices that have a problem resuming?

Nope. It only works with COM ports. I think something like bluetooth can be fixed by restarting the service, but not sure. I'd like to look into this soon and see what can be done.

    Hi Curiosity. Any update/findings?

The version I posted on 10/30 seems to be doing well. That first time, it got and error and fixed itself, but since then it hasn't complained about anything.

I don't really reboot that often, so it doesn't drive me nuts or anything. Will test again and see what happens.

    Hello all.

I've been trying to get xport3 configured, however, the input port drop down doesn't show com 4, which is the port my delorme gps is set to. How do I set the input if it's not in the drop down list?

Do I need to download and run XPort1.zip as well?

    Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Nevermind, I think I got it. I changed the port in windows to COM2. Opened xport3 again and COM2 is now listed in the drop down. Selected COM2 as the input and COM4 as the output and it appears to be working.

    Excellent app!

That'll work too. One way to fix the COM port not showing up, is to select COM1 or anything that exists and click "Enable Service" and then click it again. Then look at the drop down. COM4 will then show up. This is because XPort scans all your ports at that point and repairs the arbiter. The only bad thing about that is if you have bluetooth it could take a minute to scan and test all the ports.
