It's so strange. Everything works perfect but after 0.27mB it fails. The timer continues but the mB-storage stops at 0.27mB.

@All: New Version: Capture!.zip
Additions:
Added a convenient settings-dialog to configure all the values from the config.ini.
Added windows suspend-resume handling. Now you can set capture! to stop recording if you enter suspend and restart if windows resumes:
StopOnSuspend=1
### Detects Windows entering suspend mode and stops capture. Automatically restarts capturing to a new file after windows resumes.
Added a little About-Dialog. (click "?" in menu)

@All: How do you like the settings menu? Does everything work ok? Are there any bugs?
I personaly really like the new StopOnSuspend feature :-)
Could someone please send me all the spelling errors I made on this menu and the config.ini?
thanks, Chris
Excellent tool, i now need to integrate it with RR.
I'm using xVid as a compressor, but when i play it back it seems to be playing back at x1.5 roughly, ie speeded up. Anybody else experiencing this?
Also 2 ideas-
1 - What would be really cool is that at soon as the program is loaded it starts recording, ie on a 30second time lapse. But when you hit START, then it buffers this last 30seconds to a file. That way you can capture something that has already happended (as long as you hit the record button within 30seconds of the event).
2 - A 'Next Input' button that enables scrolling through the different capture devices. I am using a 4 port capture card, so from a CarPC point of view, this option would be very handy to change to a different camera view without using the small top menu.
Just a thought if its a possibility.
Steve
Hi!
Try using a lower fps rate. Could be that your CarPC is not able to capture 30fps per second and then drops some frames.
1 - That is implemented!! Set "DeleteAllFilesExceptTheLastX=3" and "StopAfterSeconds=1800" and "AutostartCapture=1". You will always have the last 60-90 minutes recorded. If something interessting happens you simply click stop so you can store the last video with the interessting thing recorded.
2 - I thought about something for this problem too. But just cicling through the available capture devices wouldn't be enough! All of them have different recording settings. My idea was to habe multiple config.inis which can be switched easily.

I sent you a PM Chris.
Your version of pre-event is similar to what i have in mind. However, your always records. What i was thinking is that you load the program it then starts to record into a temporary file. If there are no event triggers it discards the recordings. However, if you press START it captures the last 30seconds and then continues storage of the capture from there. Does that make sense? No START trigger, no storage.
Perhaps this diagram better explains what i am talking about?
I also get this error on exiting.
Regards,
Steve
@Tissy: Yes, I now what you mean with the pre-event recording. But I found out that this is just not going to work good.
What is the difference between a temporary buffer and a ringbuffer of the last 3 recorded files?
30 Seconds would be far to less. Sometimes you drive and a car suddenly messes with you and you don't know why. In this case maybee something happend more than 30 seconds ago. With the ringbuffer of 3 files you can hit stop after a while (you have enough time to do that, wait till the other car is away) and whatch the three last recorded files at home. That wouldn't be possible with the pre-event recording.
Storrage is really no problem. Set stopaftermb to about 200mb then you will be using 600mb in maximum.
Having the preview picture active uses more cpu resources than actually recording! So the ringbuffer saves cpu power too! :-)
Did you update your .Net 1.1 to the latest version? Looks like a problem with your capture-device drivers... ?

@Prefect
I have embedded your sw with my skin and RR,for see:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...7&postcount=60
Work well, but one request:
Is it possible add this features,with .ini config file, setting hide the original buttons and use only the RR skinned buttons for Star/stop capturing,(whit hotkey and RR work ok) and see in the bottom task bar only the info of "Capturing..." etc..?
With this,the embedding would be perfect!
Can I hope for this? :)
Thanks
Mauri
