Thread: One-Click WebCam Recording!

Is the source code for this application available anywhere?
Im want an application like this one to capture video but instead of creating individual files I want it to "reserve" lest say 100MB and always keep feeding new video to the file and the old video gets discarded. I want the file to always have the last 30 minutes of video.

If anyone has the source I can give it a try and add this functionality.

Yes, I sent him an forum PM but he hasn't come to mp3car for a couple months now.
Im very interested on getting the sources for this as RRCam doesnt handle hibernation very good and has some other limitations. Capture provides more flexibility but is missing GPS info overlay.

Not sure how I missed this. Without reading 23 pages, does this embed in RoadRunner somehow or does it just run in the background?

This works sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, love it! But what's the best way to compress the video so it's not a gigabyte every 3 minutes? Some of the compression types I tried caused an application error and the others hardly compress at all.

Oh ya, and I'll link to some of my videos on YouTube once I get them uploaded!

I would love to see more complex settings of window size. I can't get it embeded in freeice. A setting for "space in pixels at the bottom of the screen" would do. Also, i can't seem to get it infront of at start FreeIce. It starts up behind.

I use the following, it embeds OK
The button is labelled Camera. So in the skin.ini I put:

CAMERA=Capture!,C:\Program files\Capture!\Capture!.exe,0

OMG xD I had my line: CAMERA=Capture-->1<--,C:\Program files\Capture!\Capture!.exe,0

So this will embed it in Road Runner after changing one of the other buttons in the skin to this instead of whatever it is right now? I don't really know how to add a button and don't know where I'd put it so I'm sure I can find a button I don't use for anything else.
