Well, that would be in the code I added. :) It's probably more of the same problem where filters aren't being disconnected so it fails when it reconnects everything, but only in certain environments. I'm still not familiar with C# enough to really do major changes like that.

I'm getting an error when hitting the record button:
Niet nader omschreven fout
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005): Niet nader omschreven fout
bij DirectShowLib.DsError.ThrowExceptionForHR(Int32 hr)
bij DirectX.Capture.Capture.renderGraph()
bij DirectX.Capture.Capture.Start()
bij CaptureTest.CaptureTest.startCapture()
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
It says "Niet nader omschreven fout", what means "unspecified error"
Can't seem to find something about this on the interwebs.. But maybe someone else knows the cause? I get this error directly after hitting the record button.
The preview works fine, and the original Capture! records without probs, same codec used.

What's the best codec people are using to record with? I'm still having the issue where it stops recording for no reason randomly... I'll look down and its stuck on say 68.55MB with the timer still going...
I'm using CCCP (ffdshow), tried Xvid, tried H263+, currently trying WMP7 I think it is...

Did you try different framerates and video-resolutions? Try 350x288 with 25fps or so with no audio. Maybe the datarate gets to high causing the stream to drop out.
@Curiosity: Thanks for your improvements to Capture! Is it possible to have this version with the original interface and buttons? I cannot use the new layout on my carpc because it uses too much space and the aspect-ratio of the window is not suitable for DualCapture (two Capture!-windows side by side)
Regards!

I'm using res 320xsomething... pretty small but it drops all the time with anything less than 30fps. In fact with 30fps I usually get the longest time :peep:
-
@Prefect: I never saw the original layout. Is there a dialog editor or are the buttons all dynamic? I'm going to look at the code today and see if I can find it.
-
Hi Curiosity: Just take a look at the first page of this thread (34 pages ago :-)
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/soft...recording.html --> 4th post:

The layout was horizontal, menu, preview or status display, status-line, buttons. I think for DualCapture the status-line and the buttons got themselfes an individual row. status-line was displayed over the buttons. Clicking on the status-line hides the buttons and the menu. This was the only layout that worked both in single and in dual-capture mode on a 800x600 desktop-resolution.

Something is wrong with the download link.. It only downloads 35 to 260 kb of the file, and then says it's finished.. When opening with winRAR it thrws an error; unexpected end of archive..
Maybe it's a good idea to mirror it?

hmm timing out here.
i'll check back later.

Both version (prefects orginal and Curiosity's update) should be on the MP3car downloads.
if this is OK with both authors
