Thank you yorky! =)
Thank you yorky! =)
Ok. curiosity, your app is a lot more stable than the other one..And although it utilizes the same CPU resourses it seems that my system has more resourses than using the other app..maybe the other one was paging memory?..
anyway i hope you finish it it looks good
We only need a way to make it auto record (autostart) when the time limit ends and keep tha X last files
I think C# uses a lot of resources on its own. :) Ok, so I added a little more to MiniCam. It's updated but still in the GPSFilter zip file if you want to try it. There's an auto record restart on the time limit, file number limit, and MB limit. File limit has to be 2 or more or it will be disabled. MB limit is disabled at 0.
mate.. this is working very stable indeed..
1 small request.. could you make it that file name includes "recording starting date" so we can recognize them by browsing the files. it goes back to xxxx1.avi when the old xxxxxx1.avi no longer exists..
thank a lot. i will try this on my looong car trip on sunday :)
EDIT: it gives an error after resuming from hibernation :(
make RR closewindow (kill it)
then restart it on resume..
is there a way to start it minimized in the tray preferably :D
man i am starting to ask a lot!
Oh yes. A data would at least keep it sorted when deleting. Ok, got it. Download again. :)
I'll give it some testing with hibernation. It probably needs a delay before it starts recording again.
Was there any ideas if you could get it to check if it was still recording (as I said before it now and stops for no reason) and if it isn't start recording again? This is the biggest feature I need since no recording program I use KEEPS recording without stopping randomly :peep:
ok file names work perfect..
all i need is to make it hibernate !!!
You should also watch the processes. Maybe something else is hogging the CPU every few minutes. An hourly antivirus disk scan would really be a bad idea. :)
Yup unfortunately I've tried about four different recording programs and they all stop un-commanded :(
With Capture! the timer kept going but the file size stopped moving. On MiniCam the Stop button turns into a Record button (recording stops, no warning). However sometimes MiniCam does error, Windows program crash (but at least then I can see it crash and just open it again).
It only stops if I'm doing something 'else'. ie If I just have Winamp and MiniCam going it never stops. If I'm actively using programs it *may* stop. Not always. So yes it is something to do with CPU or HDD usage causing it to stop. I've tried having the CPU on permanent full speed (1.73Ghz) but no difference.
Now I'm fine with it stopping for no reason every 30 minutes or so IF you can stick an option to check say every one minute if it is still recording. If it isn't recording, start recording.
Get the latest one and try it. It waits about 3-4 seconds before restarting, and the auto-restart/multi-file thing has to be enabled. I'm not sure if it will keep trying or give up though. You can find out. :) I can't do anything about the crash. It could be the codec crashing.
It could also be free space and fragmentation. Capturing is real-time and not so fun on a slow PC. It's kind of like burning a CD was about 10 years ago. Start up some other software and you could have a coaster pretty easy.
