sometimes i remove the gps unit..so xport can not find the port.. so each time i have to run xport and configure all the ports from scratch (as it also looses the output ports, and sets it to somekind of default com1, com3m com4??)..really anoying.. i would have liked it better if it com ports would have been hard coded..and not changed even if the input port seizes to exist..a retry to get info from that port would be nice at that point

Easy fix. I just replaced the exe in the zip if you want to get it, but it shows 1.36 still. It is annoying but I didn't notice it because you have to manually start xport with no gps. Sure, I do that but why would others? The problem is that I used 1 flag for 2 things. First time run finds the GPS and enables 3 virtual ports, but then I used the same flag for when the selected GPS port is unavailable (start or resume) so it selects new ports. Oh well, fixed, no problem.

Either way. If the selected port doesn't exist it will try to find the GPS on existing ports. It also starts the virtual ports on the same trigger but now doesn't change your v-port settings. It's not all that useful without a GPS though.

curiosity, do you think you can make it an option, for xport to search or not to search..i would like it NOT to search automatically for GPS..(if i choose com4 for example i would like it to stay at com port4 even though there is nothing or even though the port no longer exists..a retry every 2 minutes to get data from port would be nice)

sometimes when the port does not exist, it will pop up (and not stay in tray) saying "no GPS found" ..that is a little annoying

and 1 request for minicam could you make those buttons bigger..
and finnally.."startup hidden" does not always work..don't know why (EDIT: OK it does not work if i close it via RR by "closewindow;curiositytech - minicam"..when i restart it then, it will also loose all settings aswell...(it will also do that if i restart the pc and not close minicam properly)
i just need a way to close it via RR - OR - prevent it from running twice (as it opens another instance when it is run for a second time) (maybe you can make it accept commands form RR ??? )

Well, try the new xport. It will scan on device arrival. There's too much to change to have it remember a port that doesn't exist. It can't select that from the available ports list. Can I ask why you unplug your GPS so much?

RR is probably resizing it, so it won't stay minimized or it's the second instance causing the problem. Not sure why it's running twice. That's something on your end.
I'll try to make the buttons bigger.

I made the buttons just a little bigger. Are there any error messages when it crashes? That might help narrow it down.
