Okay so with Minicam before I updated it:

    GPSFilter off: EZCap records fine
GPSFilter on: EZCap previews with the GPS overlay showing correctly, but doesn't record anything to file. Even when forcing a new file by stopping/starting recording or pressing the folder button.

With the updated Minicam, does the exact same thing as above. Tried looking in the EZCap driver settings to see if it can be changed to RGB but couldn't find any option for that.

Attached is a debug log file from when I was running the updated Minicam

OK, that makes a lot of sense now. Thanks for the debug log too. It's not a problem with the capture device since it works with preview. The log showed that it can't connect the GPS to the video compressor, so I moved the color space converter there. It should work. Go ahead and download and try it. It has to be the codec that can't handle it. Maybe an older one or something. Hopefully it's compatible now.

Good news, it's working now. Although I had to change from XVID codec to MV1. My computer shutdown due to low voltage so wasn't able to test further.

Since I didn't try a different codec with the previous updated version, I'm not sure if it was the problem then too.

Do you have any suggestions for codecs apart from Xvid (if I can't get it working)?

Oh everything should work now. I use FFDShow (go back a couple pages to #76). Select "ffdshow video encoder" as the video codec. It has XviD, DivX, H.264, MPEG-4 and all kinds of others.

Same problem with the latest version of your file

    Unregisterd gps filter
    re-registerd gps filter
tried again with ffdshow encoder set to Xvid in config and DIVX but same thing,

    Blank 0k file

Thanks for the debug log. It's the same thing. The compressor codec won't connect to the GPS output even with a colorspace converter. I had a great idea to try it in GraphEdit but forgot it works on mine. LOL

I forgot to dump the result codes, so uploaded another one. Last time I promise! If anyone wants to debug it one more time?

It has to be a different version codec everyone has. I can't think of anything else it could be.

    No probs.

Using the ffdshow codec, I belive this is the same one you are using?

Do you want me to download from the website again and post the debug output? (a bit confused here )
